University of Houston

The University of Houston (UH) is a state college and the lead organization of the University of Houston System. It was established in 1927, and it is the third-biggest college in Texas with approximately 43,000 students. Its grounds traverse 667 acres in southeast Houston, and from 1983 to 1991 was known as was known as University of Houston–University Park. The Carnegie Foundation arranges UH as an exhaustive doctoral degree-awarding establishment with high investigative activity. UH was placed at No. 187 by The World Report in its National University Rankings, and No. 105 in top open universities. It is also "the second-most ethnically diverse research university in the United States", only out-ranked by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Additionally, the University of Houston is providing entertainment through KUHT television and KUHF radio.

The University of Houston, through its 12 academic colleges on campus, is offering more than 280 degree programs, in Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, Public Service and Sciences and Technology.
